-I started playing the guitar at 16 yrs old. Joined local band ‘Dragonfly' playing youth clubs and the odd pub gig doing our own songs and Who, Stones and Fleetwood Mac covers. Disbanded after a year.
- Joined the band ‘ Leapfrog'. Played the North West club circuit for a year before splitting up.
- Signed up with local pub rock band ‘Billy's Boys' '. After a brief spell left to go to College.
-Joined ‘Dream into Action' renamed shortly after to ‘The Motive' . Locally respected club band. Played all the major North West club venues and toured Germany . Disbanded in 1989.
- Formed original pop band ‘Summerhouse' and released a number of demos which at the time attracted interest from EMI and Virgin records. Played notable gigs at The Cavern, Liverpool and Orwell in Wigan . Split up the project in 1995. CD of the original demos entitled ‘Songs for Ordinary People' released.
– After a 10 year break of doing the odd gig, song writing and reflection I am back playing live again with the ‘SpiderMonkeyS' and enjoying it all.
Influences – Iggy Pop, Marc Bolan, Lou Reed, Steve Jones (Pistols), Gary Moore. I listen to all sorts of stuff. My early roots were in Punk and at the time I listened to a lot of NWOBHM bands as well. A lot of them are still going today!
